Formed out of our love and passion of the grassroots skate and surfing culture on the Gulf Coast of Florida, The Compound Boardshop opened in 2003.
16 years later, The Compound has become the premier supplier for the Surf, Skate, Skim, and Fly Fishing communities in Sarasota and the surrounding areas. We have to say a big THANK YOU! for all of the support and countless friendships we have formed over the years. We believe in being heavily involved in the local communities by hosting video premieres, surf and skim camps, skate camps and contests, fly tying and casting clinics, as well as community beach clean-ups, and much more.
In addition to our local community outreach, we also spearhead Compound Cares, a non-profit organization that utilizes a unique approach through surfing and skateboarding to empower children from various walks of life to create sustainable opportunities.
